void is a pendant light with a φ1000mm aluminum shade. It is made by spin forming, in which a metal disk is rotated on a lathe and stretched by levering a metal rod against the spinning disk. The shade’s bare aluminum is left unfinished with lines made during the process visible, making each shade truly unique with the marks of the craftsman who made each lamp.
