This table light, made with traditional Japanese washi paper, has no problem fitting into modern life style. The oblong paper sphere, known as hibukuro (lit. fire bag) is made by Gifu lantern craftsmen. The travertine base symbolically contrasts with the lightness of the Japanese washi paper.
