When Craft Becomes Light: New Light Pottery in Copenhagen

Light is not just about illumination—it shapes spaces, moods, and emotions. At New Light Pottery, lighting is not an industrial process but a craft, where every element is shaped by hand. This philosophy now arrives in Copenhagen at 3daysofdesign, offering Danish architects and interior designers a unique opportunity to experience Japanese lighting design in its purest form.

Experience Japanese Craft in Copenhagen
At 3daysofdesign, New Light Pottery invites you to explore the Japanese craftsmanship at our exhibition at the basement of Frederiksgade 1, the centre of 3daysofdesign.

Our exhibition is designed by Miki Morita and Suguru Kobayashi from Mok Architects, juxtaposing the raw interior of the historical building with the refined crafts of our lights. The exhibition also explores how lights are often viewed from the outside, through clever use of traditional old Danish windows. Be prepare to experience light differently.

A selection of our lights are also an integral part of the exhibition at Garde Hvalsøe’s showroom, curated by Pernille Vest.

When to visit:

Date: 18 - 20 June 2025
